Photo Essay

http://www.time.com/time/photogallery/0,29307,1626519_1373664,00.html

After looking at some of the examples on your guys blogs, I surfed the web a little and found this link that I found VERY intresting.       Compairing different Countries lifestyles and the foods they eat.  The costs differ from Country to Country.  In this day and age every penny counts and feeding the family can get expensive.  In a class I took on "budgeting" I found that I tend to over spend on alot of different things, but the food budget was the most expensive ~ because we tend on eating out alot and buying alot of "junk" food.  I found that if I plan the meals around what I already have and the sales at the grocery stores, I can save alot of money per week.  Thought that testing my statagies might be intresting and educational to my self and others on how to budget "feeding the family".

Photo essay personal expieriment will start @ my next trip to the grocery store.

The start of WEEK 3  The fridge is getting pretty empty.  I am trying to eat up what meats we already have.  My grocery lists these past couple of weeks consits of alot of junk food.  The big ticket items bought were before the start of this project.  Meat is what is costly and is usually the main course.  I have not been considering the costs for breakfasts, lunches, drinks ect.  I spend during the work week.  My daughter Shayla eats breakfast, lunch and snack Mon-Thurs and just breakfast on Fridays at school.  Brian comes home for lunch and break and eats at home.  I eat at home for lunch and breaks when I am working in Baraga.  Lately I have been working in Zeba.  I tend to eat lunch at the Pizza Shack alot and Holiday for coffee and breakfast.  When I pack a lunch, I know I am saving a bundle of $$$$$$ so why don't I brown bag it more often? "Time"  I have to make time to make a lunch for work.  If I just get up about 5-10 minutes earlier I would eat more healthy and save money!  Now thats smart!
